TaKaDu at the CICC Conference in Palo Alto, April 2010

TaKaDu is a water infrastructure monitoring company that uses software to stop the unnecessary wasting of water. The company is an overlap of the IT sector and the Water Management field. They use HighTech to assist in managing the use of water. Leaks and bursts in water networks often account for huge amounts of wasted water. TaKaDu attempts to reverse that by implementing a monitoring system that uses pre-existing data. In this video, the CEO of TaKaDu addresses the Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC) to explain his company and their product.

Water Reuse & Recycling at the Hebrew University

Researchers at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem are involved in some of the world’s most advanced water conservation and recycling research. This video provides a sample of some of the work researchers are doing as well as an explanation of why this research is so important and how Israel has come to be so involved in the recycling of water. It also looks at how Israeli research in this field is being used and implemented globally. At the university, they are looking at the cleanest and easiest ways to conserve and recycle by “creating more water.” This is a great, short video to watch if you are interested in getting an overview of the kind of research on water management taking place at Hebrew University.
