Scanning airline passenger’s shoes has been a great challenge for airport security across the globe. Current scanners do not have the ability to detect below the shin. But Israel has invented the MagShoe, a device that scans the feet in just 1.6 seconds. This allows for efficient traveling and safe airports without requiring each individual to remove his or her shoes, a process that can be time-consuming, frustrating, and often requires more staff. With the MagShoe, one must only step into the device, with his or her shoes on, and step off 2 seconds later. A light alerts the airport security worker of whether or not the passenger is clear to continue on through security.
