This is the first part of a roundtable discussion on Technology and Innovation that was held at the AIPAC policy conference in 2011. This is an annual event and the panel speaks about the latest Israeli innovations. More than 10,000 people attended the conference —the largest in AIPAC's history.

“Better Place Battery Switch Technology Demonstration”

This video is a simple demonstration of the process that Project Better Place has implemented in order to quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively switch out car batteries in electric vehicles. It’s a short and wordless video but it is very interesting in terms of understanding the technology and process behind these electric cars. This video helps the viewer understand the practicality and feasibility of EVs. In just a little over a minute, see this robotic switch station take out the battery from an electric car and replace it with a fully charged battery.

“Shai Agassi Discusses HSBC-led Funding on CNBC”

In this video, CNBC interviews Better Place CEO Shai Agassi about his company, the viability of the electric car in an economic and environmental sense, and his latest funding from HSBC. Hear how Israel was chosen to be the first test site for a national implementation of the Better Place electric vehicle program.
